Rebuild of the pulp drying machine wire section at Arhangelsk Paper Mill

In December 2011 customer addressed BKT-Service setting the target of increasing the dryness of the pulp lap before the couch roll.

To find the solution specialists of Vooner and BKT-Service conducted a wire table and vacuum system survey, as a result of which a new wire table layout was elaborated. Also a new vacum system for the wire table was designed that allowed to use the dewatering equipment in a most efficient way to it's maximum capacity and automatically adjust vacuum level on each wire table section.

Required equipment was manufactured and supplied by the company GL&V Dewatering technologies, BKT-Service partner for many years, that specializes in dewatering equipment. The following equipment was supplied: low vacuum unit - Vacufoil, two chamber unit Enervac, and three chamber high vacuum unit Hivac.

At the end of November 2012 new equipment, piping, instrumentation and adjustment devices were assembled and mounted at site. Alignment of wire table units and equipment start up were accomplished. In March 2013, three months after the successful start up performance tests and control measurments confirmed the achived increase in dryness of pulp lap by 2 %.
